Thank Someone
February is here! It’s the month of love, the month to check your dental health, the month to celebrate and honor the history of black Americans, the month that we celebrate US Presidents, and also the month that we ask a large rodent to predict our weather.
For me, February is a time to be mindful of the people who are around us. And with Valentine’s Day smack in the middle, why not take a few moments to think about the people who we value the most, or even the people who help us out, even if it’s part of their job?
Take a few moments this month to write some thank you cards - to your friends, siblings, kids, parents, teachers, neighbors - whomever you think would enjoy hearing from you. It doesn’t have to be long: we all know how nice it is just to be thought of.
And an even simpler gesture: thank those whom you encounter in your daily life. The cashier and bagger at the grocery store. Your coffee barista. The people at Target who spray down the carts. Sometimes just a heartfelt “Thank you for your help today!” can make a difference.
There are 28 days this month… Can you think of 28 people?
While I’m at it - THANK YOU! There’s not many people who make it to my webpage, much less to the end of a blog post. Thank you for taking the time to be one of them. :)
